Yolks, Kefir, and Gristle is officially one year old! Hurray!
Reason enough to celebrate, I suppose.
Unfortunately, my schedule has been so packed lately that I’m scrambling just trying to put a single new post together! I guess writing my blog was good for writing my dissertation, and writing my dissertation was good for writing my blog — but now that I’m done(-ish) with the dissertation and in a different mode of academic life (giving papers at conferences, interviewing for jobs, teaching), the writing is suffering on all accounts!
Nevertheless, I thought I’d take a post to look back (quickly!) through the archives and pull out some of my personal favorite posts over the past year. So here they are, in no particular order:
Fighting Blotation with FODMAPs — So glad I found out about FODMAPs, it really put my GAPS journey on a whole new trajectory! No more honey or onions for me!
Taking Waters, or the Importance of Magnesium — possibly my all-time favorite just because I started a post with Lermontov… yes I am that much of a Russian geek.
Intestinal permeability and optimum health … I really need to make more references to The Big Lebowski on this blog …
Shad Roe — I need to get me some of this!! ‘Tis the season!
Why I Share Health Problems With My Aunt — one of these days I’m going to post the follow-up to this…
Raw Ground Beef — still one of my favorite meals!!
Happy Birthday, blog — and here’s to hoping I’ll get back to writing (of all brands) soon!
