I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on the internet.

If you want “scientifically-proven,” experimentally “documented,” one-size-fits-all advice that may or may not hold up in a court of malpractice law, go to a doctor.

In my healing experience, I have gotten very little help from doctors, nurse practitioners, or certified nutritionists.

I am largely convinced that a significant, if not the primary, reason for this is because they’re all too afraid (for very good reason!) of being sued to be willing to provide care that is actually healing, as opposed to palliative.  That and pharmaceutical companies, but I’m not going to wave my claw at that giant here.

I have, on the other hand, made a lot of progress based on taking the advice of friends, reading a lot of anecdotal evidence and blogs, and perusing a massive pile of “pseudo-science” books which I’m sure sites like quackwatch.org have a field day with, all of which have led me to make rational decisions based on my own experiences, my own body, my own beliefs and values.

If you want “fact”-based evidence for a lot of my ideas, the Weston A. Price Foundation website is a treasure trove of information, the basics of which I have only begun myself to mine.

I am a human being, a woman, who has had a LOT of health problems in the past, who used to just be getting sicker and sicker, but finally I am now getting better.  These are my stories.

If you follow what I have done, or take my advice, you do so entirely of your own volition.  I make no claims as to expertise about your body, only about my own.  If you find your body works similar to mine, more power to you!

It was not until I decided to choose my path to health, rather than be a recipient of health care, that I started to improve.  I invite you to make the same choice, and to take responsibility for your path to health.  In a world in which everyone took charge of their healing, instead of assigning responsibility for it to other people and institutions, there would be a whole lot fewer malpractice suits.
